In some of the orchards you could pick your own cherries. There are special cherry routes available at the reception. They'll lead you along all the cherry orchards.

Plum harvest

August is the harvest period for the most plums. the most plum trees you'll find in private gardens. A full grown plum tree will give you an abundance of plums. Reason enough for lots of people to sell them. You need to put some money in a tin can, to get dilicious plums.

Apple and pear harvest

The big work starts in September. The apple and pear trees offer lots of fruit. Most of the people who work in the orchards are from the east of Europe. Definitely the highlight of the harvest period, is the fruit parade in Tiel, in the second weekend of September
